Lets train

Today was an exciting day - I took the day off from work to be at home because our new front door was installed!

It was amazing to have the day off and semi sleep in, clean like crazy, cook a little, do some laundry...I needed this day to get my life back on track after all of these past weekends away!  More days would be nice but I am thankful to at least have this one to play catch up.  The little girls also loved having me home! Chim wanted to sleep longer than I did.

Around 2:00 my new best friend arrived to install our door!  I kept sneaking downstairs for some peeks.  I snapped a quick sniper photo on one of my sneaks.

I almost got caught!  As for the door, we did end up getting the fiberglass craftsman door from Home Depot we were looking at and also had them install.  He did a great job!  The "time window" (aka most of the day) is semi annoying but worth it.  Love how it ties in some of our dark wood items.

We still have to paint the trim and little touch up spots but loving the bumped up curb appeal!

Had to pose the boots.  Made it look more "styled" (nerd).

Now I need to figure out how to hang all of my deco mesh wreaths on here!  Hmm...my front door decorating obsession is going to hit a new level!

It has always been my dream to have a house to decorate and update, and a "wood look" front door has always been near the top of that list so I am so excited and feeling blessed!  I can't wait for Nate to get home and see it!  We love making this house a home!
