Miscellaneous Monday A Winner
How about some miscellaneous on this lovely Monday?
{ONE}
When we were in Lake Tahoe a few weeks ago and saw the most incredible sunset over the Lake.
This photo doesn't even do it justice. It was one of the most beautiful sunsets I have seen.
The colors were reflecting over the entire lake. Breathtaking.

Kate is turning 7 this week....I can't even believe it!!!!!
Lots of party prep happening.
I am excited about her party.....guess what the theme is? ;)

I have been making smoothies this year as a way to eat more fruits & veggies.
This smoothie was amazing! I threw in some almond milk, peanut butter, bananas & spinach/kale mix. You couldn't even taste the veggies. I will have to blog the recipe next time I make it & get the measurements written down.

The weather we have had here in California the past month is CRAZY.
It has been in the 70's since Christmas.
The girls have been wearing short sleeves & flip flops.
It does not feel like January.
Blue skies, warm days...it is messing with my mind.
I keep thinking it is Spring. Which means Summer is almost here.
But, no. It is January. We have many, many more months until Summer.
See what I mean about the mind tricks? Ha!
But in all seriousness, we need rain...really bad.
We are in a drought. It is not good!

My younger sister Rebecca is pregnant with Baby #2 and due in May.
I had a feeling it was going to be a girl. This Fall, I had a dream that she was pregnant with a girl and then the next day she told me she was pregnant!
I wish I would have video tapped my girls reaction when they saw that the inside of the cake was pink. Screaming, Running, Jumping up and down. So fun.
I had saved 2 bins of my girls baby clothes....special ones or really cute ones that I just couldn't bear to giveaway. I had so much fun going through them last week with my sister. So happy that her little girl will wear some of my girls clothes. Lots of memories in those bins.
Can't wait to meet my new niece in May.
All the cool kids are born in May ;)

I might be turning into a hippie. Ha!
I got a starter kit of some Essential Oils and started using them this weekend.
Hoping the lavender one helps Luke start sleeping better...he has been waking up so much the past month or two...teething is the main culprit but now I think he is just in the habit of waking up.
I want my good sleeper back!
Anyone else use Essential Oils?

Yesterday my beloved 49ers played in the NFC Championship against Seattle.
.JPG)

I wore my red lipstick for good luck.
It didn't work. I am so sad they lost.

This was me before the game...when I was happy & smiling.
It's almost embarrassing how sad I am about the game.
I am a really, really, really big sports fan and when my team doesn't win it makes me in a bad mood...which is ridiculous. Why do I care so much? It's just a game. But, ugh. So sad.
This interview after the game did NOT help my mood.
I mean REALLY?!?!?!?
You just beat a team & are going to the Superbowl and all you can talk about in the interview is how terrible your opponents are & disrespecting them? Talk about un-classy.

I was rooting for the Broncos before this interview, but that just sealed the deal.
Gotta cheer on the team from Colorado....part of my heart is in Colorado.
Go Peyton! Go Broncos!
Who are you rooting for in the Superbowl?
Do you go to a Superbowl party?
I have a handful of appetizers/dips/treats that I will be blogging in the next 2 weeks that will be PERFECT for the Superbowl. (The Superbowl that the 49ers are not in. Waaaaaa)
Stay tuned!

That is my favorite part of carving pumpkins :)
My pumpkin seed recipe is HERE.
I also got my costume ready....our staff theme for teachers is 80's...here is a sneak peek of my outfit:

We have products for all skin types!
If you want to know what products are best for your skin, take my solutions tool HERE.

Here is a before & after of a fellow consultant's results with the R+F REVERSE Regimen.
Here is what she has to say:
"I have to be very honest with you--my vitiligo (the white spots on my face) is something I've had since I was 8-years-old and since then, I've done everything I could to cover it up and make sure no one noticed it because I truly did not believe I was beautiful. From heavy make up, to light treatments at the dermatologist, to sleeping in make up when I would go to sleep overs. I lived in bondage to superficial beauty as so many of us do.
My vitiligo is something I've been insecure about my entire life so today is a BIG day!! The REVERSE regimen didn't take my vitiligo away but it evened it out to where you can barely even notice it! I sell these products because I know what it is like to look in the mirror and hate what you see"
In 60 days, it will be New Years....don't you want to spend the holidays confident with your skin?
I can help with that!
All our products come with a 60 day, empty bottle, 100% money back guarantee!
You have nothing to risk by trying out our products.

Miscellaneous Monday
Seems like the perfect time for some random thoughts!
- I just finished watching The Hills and it was awesome. But of course, a cliff hanger [boo!]. I really like Lauren and Brody and thoroughly hate Heidi and Spencer. I also feel like a total loser for being 26 years old and watching MTV. It makes me feel so old.
- Nate got a part time job today. He's on a roll folks, things are really falling into place around here. He'll start in January and finish in June, just in time for PT school. He might get another part time job to fill the gaps [and fill our bank account] but we aren't sure what his schedule will look like. Either way, this is big!
- I am officially going home for Christmas. Yep, I twisted my co-workers arms to let me take off Christmas Eve. So we'll drive back LATE on Friday December 21 and have to drive back on Christmas day. Just want I want to be doing for 8 hours on that day, but whatever. I've been homesick lately, so I'll take what I can get.
- We are going to my work holiday party this weekend and it should be pretty interesting. I just started this job in October so I'm getting to know everyone. We are bringing a white elephant gift, booze, and my camera. Oh and cookies. Nate is going to bake a few batches for the cookie exchange but we can't decide which kind: gingerbread, peanut butter with hershey kisses on top, Mexican wedding cakes, or plain ol' chocolate chip? Which would you want from my Top Chef?
- Our gigantic "economy sized" peanut butter jar is getting low, according to Nate. That makes me kind of ill to think about how much PB we've eaten in the past month.
- Henry is now afraid of Nate, only when he puts on his gloves. Hat, giant coat, boots, and even sunglasses are fine. But as soon as the gloves go on his hands, Hank hides under the table. I guess you have to know Henry to see how funny this is. And you should see how mad Nate gets when it happens.
- We have at least 12 inches of snow on the ground. And apparently more is coming. It seems like we get 4 more inches every 3 days or so. And it's getting old. Real old. Sorry I always complain about the weather but it's freaking unbelievable.
- What is everyone doing for New Years this year? I have to work on NYE [as if that was an option] but I do have New Years Day off. So we can technically do something that night, but it needs to be inexpensive [ie no driving down to Chicago]. Ideas anyone? Nice dinner? Bed and Breakfast? Wine night? :)
- Remember how I got married this year? Remember how I have 2000 images from that day? Well it might be fun to show you a few totally random shots every now and then. As in, pictures that none of you have seen before in bios, shutterfly, etc.
And pictures of me with my biyatch face. There are a few of those mixed in for sure:
That's all I got. Hope you enjoy my randomness:)

Miscellaneous Tuesday
A few bits of randomness for you today:
First, Nate and I scurried down to the Lake on Sunday night for an unplanned photo shoot. The sunset was just too pretty and we had to try and make it before it was completely dark [which isn't until 5:00 these days, whoo hoo! We are making progress towards Spring, I tell you].
So here are some of my favorite shots from that night. If we look disgustingly cold it's because we are, plain and simple:
Now I know you Southern Belles from Missouri got some snow today, and I'm quite proud of my old city for representing some winter weather. But seriously, who wants to come up here and experience stupid amounts of snow at all times? Any takers?
Well, actually, we are having some Missouri visitors this weekend [hi, Hannah and Michael!] and we are totally planning on skiing one day while they are here. It's going to be so much fun and very entertaining, since Hannah and I aren't exactly skiing pros. I hope I can take my camera for some pictures without falling on top of it. Hmmmm.....
Also, I've been working like a madwoman on our 2008 everyday album. I'm happy to say that I'm caught up through October....after about 10 pages of the marathon:) I figured I'd show you a few random pages just for fun. I like making albums for myself because then I can use digital scrapbooking products from sites like Two Peas and Jen Wilson, without worrying about copyright stuff. I'm pretty sure if I used their stuff for my little business I'd be breaking the law, so 'personal use only' it is. Here are some random pages for your viewing pleasure:
And finally, I tried on a potential bridesmaid dress for Lindsey's wedding today. I forced Nate to come and take pictures, which ended up being quite yellow from the horrible florescent lighting, but the dress is still adorable. Ours will technically be black and probably strapless, but you get the idea. I was a bit worried about this shorter tea length, considering I'll probably be the gargantuan bridesmaid amongst other petite dolls, but I kind of like the above-the-knee look. I was just used to all tea lengths being right past the knee or even a little longer, to the calf. What do you think? Never mind the fact that this sample is way too big and I cannot even pretend to fill out the top, okay?
Here is the strapless version. Why are models always posing with such odd postures?

Eek! I cannot wait for wedding season. And dress weather. And sunshine. And....you get it by now, right?
And now I'm hosting all of my photos on Flickr, so I think you can just click on any of my pictures in this post and it will take you to my account. Have a look around if you would like, there are more shots from our Milwaukee photo shoot I didn't include here....but pretty much all of the others have appeared on this blog before. Maybe someday I'll be a blogger who only posts one or two pictures each post but for now I tend to get a little crazy with multiples. Must be the bigger pictures or something.
