The 10th was on Saturday, so here is a sneak peek of our day.
Starting the day off with coffee by the Christmas tree.

Mug from {HERE}
It rained ALL day. I loved it!! We aren't in a severe drought anymore, but we still need rain!

We headed to see Santa.....no tears anymore...they love Santa!
Do you see how long the girls hair is? They haven't gotten it cut in over a year. They are growing it out for Locks of Love (or Pantene's Program) This was Kate's idea...they need 8 inches to donate, so we are hoping it is long enough by this Spring.
Our Santa is the real Santa....as he was saying goodbye to the kids he told them that our elf had reported that they had been fighting a little bit & that they need to eat more vegetables (I literally had to remind my kids last night to get along better & eat more well balanced meals) The look on my kids faces (and mine!!) were priceless. We believe!
After we saw Santa we went to our favorite Bagel Shop to get bagels for lunch.

Our favorite is the pink bagels....they were one of the only things I could keep down when I was pregnant with all 3 kids, so it's no surprise that they like them now.
Then Kate helped me put stamps on our Christmas cards.

Headed to the post office to drop off all the cards....200+ cards signed, sealed & delivered! Phew!
Whenever it rains, I wear my rain boots {HERE}
California in December means that our leaves are finally turning colors & falling off trees.
We went to the Saturday night church service, we love going to church on Saturday evenings, especially in the fall/winter.
We came home and had dinner...my homemade spaghetti sauce had been simmering on the stove all day. YUM!
After dinner, we watched a family movie....we introduced our kids to one of my favorite Christmas movies of all time. I've waited years for this moment.
They all loved it & we will be watching Home Alone 2 this week :)

After the movie it was bedtime, but the kids wanted to show us their Christmas dance that they have been working on for a few days. Kate choreographed the entire thing. I love their creativity.
It was a great 10th!
Hope you also had a great weekend!

10 on 10 April 2014
10 pictures on the 10th day of the month!
{Document a snapshot of your life & find beauty among the ordinary things in your day!}
Happy 10th of April.
So glad it is the 10th....that means 1 more day until Spring Break.
Kate has been making her bed every morning for the past few months. I love it. I don't know where she learned that from since I rarely make our bed in the morning...especially during the school week.
But, hey! I won't complain! Love my OCD girl :)
Breakfast at school. I eat a Luna bar EVERY.SINGLE.DAY during first period. This is my current favorite flavor.
I gave a test today & am trying to get them graded before Spring Break (1 more day!). Grading tests is more fun when you grade them with colorful sharpies :)
I love Thursdays because I am done teaching at 11:30. Then I get to pick up Luke, put him down for a nap and eat my lunch in a quiet house while the girls are at school. Today's lunch was corn tortilla quesadillas with Trader Joe's Greek yogurt guacamole. So good!
Loading the dishwasher. My least favorite chore (besides unloading the dish washer & folding laundry) At least the dishes are pretty.
Flowers that Kevin gave me earlier this week. I love fresh flowers.
Picked up Kate from school and while we waited for Claire to get out, she did her homework in the car like we do everyday. Fun times.
After school we went on an errand to the party store because I am throwing my sister a baby shower on Saturday and haven't gotten ANYTHING ready for it. Procrasitnators unite! I was so happy to see 4th of July things out...that means.....It's almost summer!
Iced Coffee was necessary today. 80 degrees. A Thursday. Almost Spring Break.
Want to know what I always order when the weather is nice? An Iced Grande Non Fat Vanilla Latte, but then I ask for it in a Venti Cup so that I get extra ice! I love extra ice.
Lukey watching some Mickey Mouse Clubhouse while I made dinner.

Don't forget, 1 more day to enter the Rodan + Fields Giveaway {HERE}
AND
Just a reminder that for all Rodan + Fields orders placed by midnight on Friday April 11th, all proceeds will go to my friend Anna's adoption!

Today was also National Sibling Day, so here is a bonus photo of what I posted on Facebook.
Throwback Thursday to my wedding almost 12 years ago.

It's the first 10 on 10 of 2013!
My day has been CRAZY busy.
Here's a sneak peek!
It's cutie season! Love, love, love these oranges. The girls & I eat about 4 a day...each!

Beautiful January Day. Fun puffy clouds:

This girl's answer is Hysterical. Saying the power went out & that is why the time was 12:00. Classic.

Sharpening pencils.

It was a long day of school with a meeting after school. It called for some Peanut m&m's

After school snack for the girls. English muffins with cinnamon sugar:
Bo Bo the Wonder Dog:
Kate picked some flowers for me:

Getting some things prepped for Kate's 6th Birthday Party that's coming up!
I hope you had a good 10th! Check out more 10 on 10 here:

Can you believe it? November 10th.
Drinking my coffee & playing Candy Crush. #addicted (to both)
We went to Saturday night church last night, so it was so great having a slow morning at home. I made cinnamon rolls for brunch.
My little "helper" when I was unloading the dishwasher:
I am SO excited that Thanksgiving is almost here. Just a few weeks away!

At Nordstrom...Half Yearly Sale time! Have you checked out the sale yet? So much fun stuff!
Getting the kids outfits laid out...we had our family photos today!
Kevin & I dropped the kids off at his parents at bedtime & were able to have an impromptu date night. Lemon Drops are my favorite.
So are twinkly lights outside of restaurants:
After dinner we headed home to relax & watch Parenthood on Netflix. We just started watching it (Season 1) a month ago. SO good.
Why haven't I watched this show before?!?!
I cry EVERY.SINGLE.EPISODE.
It was a great Sunday. And, I am so happy that tomorrow is a day off.
Hooray for 3 days weekends.
And, an even bigger Hooray for the reason. Thank you to all the Veterans & military families.
Thank you for your sacrifice and all you have done for our country.

10 pictures on the 10th day of the month!
{Document a snapshot of your life & find beauty among the ordinary things in your day!}
Here is a snapshot of the 10th which was Saturday.
Here is a sneak peek of our day:
One of my favorite things about Saturday mornings are that they are mellow!
Reading in bed with my cup of coffee & college football on in the background.
I cut some Hydrangeas from my front yard & put them in a vase on my kitchen table:

My mother in law came over to take the kids on a bike ride, so Kevin and I went on a quick 3 mile run:
Flags up in honor of 9/11 on Sunday:

I can't believe it's been 15 years since 9/11. I will never forget that day.
Years ago, I wrote a blog post about 9/11 and the volunteer efforts I got to be a part of at Ground Zero. You can read about it {HERE}
Leftover cupcakes from Claire's birthday on Friday. She wanted Funetti cupcakes & her favorite...Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Cupcakes. The kids were begging for a cupcake after lunch.

Cupcake Recipe {HERE}
Then I headed to the grocery store. Stocking up for the week. Some things on our meal plan for the week include: Salmon with fresh dill & lemon and served with asparagus and Fiesta Stuffed Bell Peppers. Recipe {HERE}

Do you spy the chocolate chips? I also have plans to make THESE Sea Salt Chocolate Chip cookies this week :)
After I got back from the store, it was time to watch the Colorado football game. Our live Buffalo, Ralphie runs the field before the players run out. Such a great tradition!

The game was a blow out (Colorado won 56-7...YEAH!!!) so Kevin & the kids swam for a bit.
Then we headed next door to our neighbors house. They were having a going away party for their daughter who is heading off to college this week. They had it catered by a Mexican place. Yummy tacos!

Me & one of my neighbors, Denise. I am one of the tallest girls on the court & she is one of the shortest....she was standing up on the deck in this photo and we thought it was funny that we were the same height when she was standing on the deck.

Our 10th was relaxing, productive & fun!
Hope you had a great weekend!
